national tragedy (part 2? 3?)

so yeah, as advertised, i forgot to post something yesterday. homework and some other things got in the way.

one of my problems with blog continuity is my cool temper. i just calm down way to fast. often what will happen is, i’ll be in the car, listening to the news and get the rampant stupidity and just about go nuts. i’ll compose a whole blog entry in my head, complete with cleverly constructed one-liners, only to ultimately calm down after picking up d and losing the drive to put it to “paper” when i get home. of course this happens when i’m listening to music and think of something to write about as well, so maybe it’s just cause i’m lazy. hmmmm…

a few weeks ago, gerald ford died. regardless of what your opinion of the man was, he was old. he was gonna die. life goes on. the REAL tradgedy that week this.

peer pressure

i was hassled by two people yesterday to update this thing, since it’s been exactly 1 month since i last posted (although “post” may be a bit of an overstatement) and much longer since i actually wrote anything worth reading.

that will most likely not change today, however…

obviously, besides lack of inspriation, i have an issue with priorities and time managment. lifehack v1.0 was a failure, basically because i didnt really, uh, remember that i had put it together. and of course, because other things became bigger priorities than blogging. with that in mind i have constructed this new list of priorities. for your parusal

1. family (i.e. danielle)
2. exercise
3. school
4. blogging
5. work
6. various repair projects (see 1)
7. that glorious timesink known as world of warcraft
.
.
.
112. sleep! (see 1)

you’ll notice that blogging comes before work in this list. ironically i’m actually at work right now. on saturday. at 5:30PM. that gives me the right to put it before work, IMO.

as for inspiration, well, as someone once said, inspiration is for amateurs. if you write for a living, you have to just sit down and do it everyday. consider this day 1. now all i have to do is remember to do it again on day 2. i can certainly understand your skepticism…
